Three Terrifying Serial Killers with Ridiculous Nicknames
Some sound like they’re from a horror movie — others like they’re from a B grade horror movie.
Serial killers are often given nicknames by the press as a way to identify them and, of course, to create sensational headlines. The names themselves evoke fear and a sense of urgency: The Night Stalker, Son of Sam, the Co-Ed Butcher. Who wouldn’t be alarmed when hearing about someone terrorizing the neighborhood with a nickname like that?
But how do you react when you’re warned about ‘The Eyeball Killer’, ‘The Taco Bell Strangler’ or ‘The Giggling Granny’?
While there are plenty of examples of chilling nicknames, there are others that definitely haven’t burned their way into the public consciousness. While the crimes these men committed are no less horrifying, their nicknames fall short when it comes to any sort of fear factor.
